A Journey Within

Have you ever felt that you’re waiting for something—someone, a chance, or even a stroke of luck—to change the course of your life? Many of us have been there, standing by as life seems to unfold around us, looking for permission or a sign to pursue what we truly want.

This is where the concept of being INPowered® comes in.

INPowered® vs. Empowered: What’s the Difference?

The difference between empowered and INPowered lies at the heart of personal agency. When you’re empowered, power has been given to you. Perhaps a mentor believed in you, an employer promoted you, or you received encouragement from family and friends.

While support and external affirmation can be a beautiful catalyst, it also means that someone else is acting as the gatekeeper to your potential.

INPowered® means that your power comes from within. It’s a state where your actions, beliefs, and decisions are directed by your own vision, values, and commitment.

It’s deciding that you’re going to set out and create the life you desire because you have the internal strength, resilience, and purpose to make it happen. When you’re INPowered, you don’t wait for permission to pursue your goals—you take the first steps and actively shape your path.

The Power of Becoming INPowered®: Owning Your Life Journey

Being INPowered is about recognising that you are the primary agent of change in your own life. Here are some ways to harness this inner power and start creating your own outcomes:

1. Shift Your Mindset from Passive to Active

When you’re passive, life happens to you. You react, respond, and adapt to what others bring your way. But an active, INPowered mindset means that you happen to life. Rather than waiting for opportunities, you create them. Instead of hoping for the right circumstances, you make the most of where you are. Think of yourself as the driver, not the passenger, of your life.

2. Create Clarity Around Your Goals

Being INPowered begins with a vision for what you truly want. Take the time to identify what your ideal outcomes look like. Are they related to your career, relationships, health, or personal growth? An INPowered individual doesn’t wait for the “right time” or the “perfect opportunity” to chase their dreams. Instead, they set clear, concrete goals and outline the steps needed to achieve them.

3. Take Aligned Action, Even if It's Small

Often, we believe that change has to be big and bold to matter, but being INPowered teaches us that every small action counts. If your goal is to write a book, start with 100 words a day. If you’re aiming for a healthier lifestyle, add just one nutritious meal a day. The key is to consistently take action that aligns with your desired outcomes, no matter how minor it may seem in the moment.

4. Stay Committed to Your Vision

INPowered people know that consistency is more important than motivation. They commit to their goals, understanding that challenges and setbacks are a part of the journey. This inner commitment helps them to persevere and stay resilient, even when things don’t go as planned. They’re in it for the long haul, knowing that every step brings them closer to their vision.

5. Own Your Choices and Outcomes

Taking responsibility is a foundational aspect of being INPowered. When you are INPowered, you don’t look for others to blame if things go wrong, and you don’t wait for others to take charge of your success. You own your decisions and the outcomes you produce. By taking ownership of your life, you free yourself from the limitations of victimhood and step into a space where you have the freedom to design your future.

How INPowered® Are You?

Here are a few questions to help you assess how INPoweredd you are currently:

  • Do you take full responsibility for the direction of your life?

  • Are you actively working towards your goals, or are you waiting for circumstances to be “just right”?

  • Do you allow setbacks to deter you, or do you see them as opportunities for growth?

  • Are you consistently showing up for yourself and your vision?

Embracing INPowered®: Your Path Forward

To live in an INPowered state is to live with a sense of freedom and purpose. When you embrace your personal power, you unlock the potential to transform your life in ways that may have once seemed out of reach. Every day is a new chance to reaffirm your commitment to creating your desired outcomes—no permission required, no external validation necessary.

How INPowered® are you? Are you ready to step into your fullest potential, to trust in your inner strength, and to move forward boldly? Remember, life doesn’t just happen to those who are INPowered; they happen to life. With intention, clarity, and resilience, you hold the power to design the future you’ve always wanted. Now, it’s your turn to take the wheel.
